What Am I Taking? is not a guide to help you decide which drug you should be using.
We have deliberately avoided giving any advice, or making any recommendations about which medication is best for you, or for the medical condition you are experiencing.
Quite the opposite, in fact. Throughout the book, we repeatedly remind readers that drug choice should be left to the professionals. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to any medical problem.
Every individual is different and what works for one person may be less effective for another. Drug selection can be determined by a whole range of factors, including your medical history and any other health issues, physical characteristics such as age and weight, other medications and the level of support you have.
What Am I Taking? will help you understand the medications that you are using and be alert to any potential problems, but we repeatedly emphasise the importance of getting advice from your doctor or pharmacist if you have any problems.
